The Kinect is now entering the experimental stage of its use on therapeutic methods. The Kinected Massage is an example on how the community is currently testing the Kinect’s capability to help in maintaining and curing human health. Jason Stephens displays this video on how the Kinect, being positioned at the top of the patient can conduct a “virtual acupressure session” for the patient. While the details may not be verified at the moment, its certainly a possibility given the Kinect’s many uses. In the video, the therapist adjusts virtual orbs to critical acupressure points in order to practice this young therapeutic session and control the optical flow field.
