The Kinect Terminator Virtual Assistant is an ode to a classic movie favorite and huge step forward in developing an intelligent AI for virtual assistance. This video by Davy Loots displays this scary but futuristic take on the growing popularity of smart AI. In the video, the user projects the head of a terminator to his wall. The Kinect is able to track the skeletal frame of the user as well as its positioning, changing the image of the terminator to make it appear 3d and holographic. The user then can talk to the terminator via the Kinect microphone. From responding to jokes to telling the time, this stern looking virtual assistant is another spectacular result of developing technology with the Kinect!
