We find another Kinect hack bent on pushing the gesture-based music programs to the world. The Kinect Sequencer allows users to plot their music and enjoy their composition. This video by André Damião Bandeira displays the program at work and how gestures help plot the proper midi sounds for a great musical piece. In the video, a line is the guide of the user for the musical sequence. A user then can gesture on various area of the screen in order to plot a midi sound. The sequencer continuously play and the user can have an immediate replay of the sound. This gives the user the freedom to customize his custom sound in real-time. Now that gesture has become a mainstay in creating music, we’ll definitely see a rise of this kind as well as the use of Kinect in the music industry!
