Imagine how different computers must have been like before the advent of interfaces that involved the mouse. While it’s become an integral part of how we use computers, it doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for improvement. As motion-tracking applications become more and more prominent, we see this slowly making a difference to how we use computers and bringing us to a future that more closely resembles what we see in sci-fi films. Today’s featured hack is one such application — the Universal Gesture Mouse.

The submitter admits that this is technically not a hack but its an interface that a lot of you might find useful. It allows you to use your Kinect sensor to control your Windows 7 PC. If you’re interested in learning more about it and trying it out, you can head on to the project link we’ve included below.  Be sure to give them feedback so that they can keep improving it!
