Imagine how simple life would be if you could control the lights with simple gestures from your arms and hands. No more fumbling for switches or looking for pesky remotes that sometimes seem to have sinister minds and keep themselves hidden when you need them the most. If this is something that you think you’d want, then you may want to check out this innovative Kinect home automation hack from “Odelot Stuff”.
How it works is you point to a light to select it. The hack then measures the distance between your hands; bringing them closer will dim the lights while the reverse will cause them to go brighter. This is definitely a cool trick to have in your home.
For full details and other home automation projects by the designer, check out his website. It is in Portugese though so prepare to have Google Transalator on standby for all you non-Portugese speakers out there.
Awsome.Need to put that in production.Mass production that is.
