We’ve got another great submission showcasing holographic images! The Kinect Interactive Holographic Display is a fine hack which utilizes the user’s current position in order to quickly change the selected image and display it 3d. This video by Davy Loots showcases the ability of the Kinect to produce these futuristic images by displaying 2d visuals. In the video, the user looks at a tablet computer displaying images and fonts. The images adjusts based on the user’s position and this one is detected by the Kinect. If the user goes to the other side, the image adjusts, making it look a holographic 3d image. In truth however, the image is just 2d and the constant changing of the images help attribute to its seemingly holographic nature.
