The exhibit is alive with activity and interaction thanks to the Kinect! The Kinect Interactive Exhibit at Gaffa Gallery is a great display of how the Kinect can further improve display and presentation through motion detection. This video by powerhousemuseum displays how certain artworks can receive additional points in visual appeal thanks to the Kinect’s technology. In the video, the Kinect traces the user’s position in the room and sends it to the main processing unit. The nearer the user to a particular artwork, the louder the designated music gets and the brighter the lights of that artwork displays. The “Lure with Bait, Strike with Chaos” exhibit clearly had more to show to its patrons thanks to the Kinect. Art and technology is getting to know each other more and the marriage of both produce great outputs thanks to the Kinect!
