A visual overload of interactive 3d images flood our eyes again as the recent integration of Kinect and 3d images promises a more “realistic” scale. The Kinect Holoportal 3d uses the depth camera in order to provide interactive 3d images to the user and the large display screen makes is possible for users to view images on a life-like scale. This video by Shader Media treats us with the display of this interactive 3d setup. In the video, the user, with anagram glasses put on, is put in front of a large 3d display. With the Kinect detecting the user’s movements, the 3d display responds to the positioning of the user. This results into an interactive and realistic VR experience for the user.
