Collaborating with others in this interactive Kinect program allows users to control their favorite dinosaur! The Kinect Dinosaur Puppets, “We be Monsters!” is this fun and interesting Kinect hack that requires two users to properly control the limbs and mouths of virtual dinosaurs. Caitlin Rose Boyle & Asa Foster created this Kinect program by using the OpenNI, OSCeleton, and Processing. In this video, two users are detected by the Kinect. Through the depth camera’s body tracking, two user’s skeleton outlines can be detected and properly integrated to the image. The result is an interactive and move-able Kinect dinosaur that users can funnily take part of.
