Kinecthacks.com just can’t get enough of robots and the Kinect community is gracious enough to give us a weekly dose of Kinect-controlled robots. The most recent mechanized contraption to move based on a user’s remote physical gestures is the JOG or the Armadeus Robot. Mohamed Saad IBN SEDDIK and Ismail CHRAIBI unveiled their project of having gestures control the movements of the Kinect-ed JOG. Moving the hand vertically upwards propel the JOG to move forward while gesturing the hand to go down signals the JOG to go on reverse. This Kinect hack joins the community’s list of achievements in terms of integrating the depth camera device to existing robotics.
