Digitalt! is an Kinect interactive installation located at the main library in Copenhagen conceived by YOKE.dk.

According to the project team, the hack or installation is “centered around the idea of expanding the physical room with an immaterial and digital environment.” Looking at the presentation and through their own explanation, they are able to achieve the illusion by “making an interactive area in front of the screen which allows the participant to view the digital environment at different angles, thus giving the impression that the space behind the screen is somewhat responding to real life perspectives.” Participants are tracked by our favorite device, the Kinect and the digital environment is created using Unity 3D

This is another example of how the Kinect can be used to make more interactive displays that can create better experiences for participants. Check out the video which showcases interesting animation, combined with the interactive application.
