Want to practice pottery but you’re afraid to waste clay? The Kinect Turn – 3d Pottery gives users hands-on experience and virtual output of making their own pot works! This video by¬†yunsil heo showcases virtual pottery at its finest! In the video, a user is seen moving the potter wheel while positioning his hand over it to produce a virtual foundation. As the wheels turn, the Kinect detects the position of the user’s hand and coordinates with the wheel movement in order to simulate actual clay pot making. The user then can freely move his/her hand in order to create his/her desired pot without the need to expend that much money and clay! Various professions and skills are becoming accessible to users thanks to the Kinect community’s desire and¬†ingenuity!
