Feel and hear the tension of an epic encounter! The Kinect Tension is a 6-channel speaker system setup that uses user position and distance to create music. This video by SOPI research group displays this unique setup and experiments on user proximity and tunes. In the video, the user is seen playing with the Kinect tension by moving around the small space, changing the mode of the assigned sound in the process. Each user is assigned a specific tune and by having multiple users, the individual tones merge, creating a new sound! The intensity of the sound also changes as users change their position or even go nearer to each other. These Kinect hacks which experiments on various opportunities to construct and test art will definitely push the boundaries!
